| Among the last wild rivers of Europe, the river Allier is one of the most interesting for canoeing. |
| Starting from Prades, following the salmons migration, you can canoe on 80 km or more if you wish. |
| On the first 50 km, you'll face the gorges (passes, defiks) of the Haut-Allier with thier very special geology. From the beginning, you'll be aware of the volcanic context of your trip with the basaltic organs of Prades, then you'll go along perched villages, sand or pebble beaches. |
| The river is accessible ti everyone: level 1-2 with some level 3 parts. You'll be surprised by the Haut-Allier: a place not very visited yet with wild landscapes specially between Lavoute-Chilhac and Brioude (halfway there) |
| After Brioude, the river calms down, we are in Limagne, different landscapes for the end of your trip. You'll remember the "Valley of Wonders" end keep in mind amazing images. |
